In Memory of a Young Life That Inspired a Noble Mission
Babu Kali Prasanna was born on 4th November 2002 at S.C.B. Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, Odisha, at 12:45 PM, on the auspicious day of Deepawali and Kali Puja. He was a young soul of remarkable kindness and promise whose life, though brief in years, left an enduring impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Even at a tender age, he displayed a maturity of thought that reflected compassion, empathy, and a genuine concern for the happiness and well-being of others.
His early childhood was spent in Cuttack, where both his parents were practicing advocates. Accordingly, his schooling began at Shree Bharat School, Chandinichowk, Cuttack. However, at the age of seven, in 2009, his mother cleared the Odisha Judicial Service Examination. As judicial service is a transferable job, his academic journey thereafter took him across several towns and institutions in Odisha.
During the course of his schooling, he studied at:
- Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Baripada (2010–2012)
- Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Dhanamandala, Chandikhol, Jajpur (2012–2014)
- Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Lakhanpur, Jharsuguda (2014–2015)
- Government High School, Lakhanpur (2015–2017)
- Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Jajpur Road (2017–2018), where he successfully completed his matriculation securing 88.8%
- Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Tulsipur, Cuttack, where he pursued his +2 education
Coming from a family deeply rooted in the legal profession, it might have seemed natural for him to follow the same path. However, during his early years he did not initially show a strong inclination towards law. At the same time, he was equally clear in his decision not to pursue conventional professional paths such as medicine or engineering, choosing instead to explore his own interests and aspirations.
Driven by this, he enrolled in the Five-Year Integrated B.A. LL.B. programme at Madhusudan Law College, affiliated with Utkal University. From the inception of his legal education, he consistently focused on litigation, the area that most resonated with his professional aspirations. His dedication to research and advocacy earned him recognition, including the award for Best Researcher in a Moot Court Competition, along with several research paper publications and other academic achievements. By the completion of his B.A. LL.B. degree, he had emerged as one of the most experienced and litigation-oriented candidates in his batch, having gained substantial exposure to court practice, legal drafting, and research.

Though his span of life was brief, it was filled with noble thoughts and boundless dreams. His greatest wish was simple yet profound, to see happiness flourish in his surroundings. This heartfelt life goal was expressed in his personal diary with sincerity, revealing a personality driven not by self-interest, but by the desire to bring joy and comfort to others.
Just as his journey of life in the field of law had begun to rise with hope, promise, and the potential for success, fate intervened in the most tragic manner. He was someone who understood people without judgment, their feelings, struggles, and silent needs.
While his physical presence is no longer with us, his ideals continue to inspire. The purity of his thoughts and the goodness of his intentions became the foundation upon which this Memorial Trust was established. Through this foundation, his dreams are being transformed into meaningful actions, ensuring that his legacy lives on in every life touched, every smile created, and every act of kindness extended.
